2. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose identifiers and internet or network activity to Google Analytics and similar measurement providers. In a state where a particular disclosure is legally considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for “targeted advertising,” you may opt out through our Privacy Choices page, by enabling Global Privacy Control, or by emailing [email protected].

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of anyone under 16. The Platform is for adults at least 18 years old. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you or for purposes that trigger a right to limit under California law.

3. Business-purpose disclosures

During the preceding 12 months, we may have disclosed each category in Section 1 for the business purposes stated there. Recipients may include cloud hosting and content delivery providers, security and fraud vendors, communications vendors, support and moderation tools, professional advisers, Stripe, Google Analytics, and government or legal recipients when lawfully required.

We do not disclose private message content to third parties for their independent advertising.

4. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  1. confirm whether we process your personal information and access it;
  2. receive information about categories, sources, purposes, recipients, and specific pieces of information;
  3. correct inaccurate personal information;
  4. delete personal information, subject to exceptions;
  5. obtain a portable copy of information you provided;
  6. opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising;
  7. limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable;
  8. opt out of qualifying profiling or automated decisions, if we engage in such processing; and
  9. appeal our denial of a request in states that provide an appeal right.

We do not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning access to employment, credit, housing, insurance, education, or essential services.

5. Exercising a right

Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request” and describe the right you want to exercise. You may also use available account or privacy settings. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity, residency, and authority. We will use verification information only for the request and security.

For an opt-out request based on browser activity, use the controls on our Privacy Choices page or send a recognized Global Privacy Control signal. An opt-out applies to the browser or device that sends it and, when we can reliably associate it with an authenticated account, may also apply to that account as required by law.

6. Authorized agents

An authorized agent may submit a request where state law permits. We may require signed permission, proof of registration or authority, and direct confirmation from the consumer, except where a valid power of attorney or applicable law provides otherwise.

7. Appeals

If we deny a request and your state provides an appeal right, reply to our decision or email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Appeal” within 45 days. Include the request number and reasons for appeal. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and, when required, explain how to contact your state attorney general.

8. Nondiscrimination

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Different prices or service levels may be offered only when permitted by law and with any required notice. JustList currently does not offer a financial-incentive program in exchange for personal information.

9. California-specific disclosures

California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the categories of sources, purposes, categories of third parties, and categories sold, shared, or disclosed for a business purpose. California residents may also request correction or deletion and may opt out of sale or sharing. We honor Global Privacy Control as required by California law.

California's “Shine the Light” law may permit residents to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. JustList does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing as contemplated by that law.
