Effective date: October 15, 2026
This Provider Agreement supplements the JustList Terms of Service and applies to every individual or business that creates a Provider profile, publishes a service listing, responds to a Customer, or purchases a Provider Paid Feature. “Provider” includes the account owner and the business represented by the account.
1. Independent business
A Provider offers services to Customers as an independent business and not as an employee, agent, partner, franchisee, representative, or subcontractor of JustList. JustList does not hire, dispatch, supervise, direct, or control Providers or their work. A Provider chooses whether to respond to a Customer and, subject to law and the Provider's agreement with the Customer, controls its prices, schedule, methods, personnel, tools, materials, and service area.
Using JustList does not create an exclusive relationship. A Provider may obtain work elsewhere, and JustList may display competing Providers. Contract labels do not override applicable worker-classification law or the parties' actual conduct.
2. Provider authority and account information
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to perform and advertise each listed service.
- If you act for a business, you certify that you have authority to bind it and that its name, ownership, address, contact information, and registration details are accurate.
- You must keep account, service-area, availability, pricing, and credential information current and protect account access.
- You may not lend, sell, rent, or transfer a Provider account or allow an undisclosed business to operate through it.
3. Licenses, permits, bonds, and insurance
When the listing form requests licensing information, your selection and confirmation are your representation that the information is accurate and that you hold all permissions required to advertise and provide the stated services in each service area. A “No license is required” selection is your determination for the exact work advertised, not a determination by JustList. Publication is not conditional on a routine license check by JustList and does not validate your statement. Verification labels, if any, have only the limited meaning described in the Verification, Badges, and Credentials Policy.
The Provider is solely responsible for determining and satisfying every federal, state, county, city, trade, and project-specific requirement. This includes licenses, registrations, permits, bonds, insurance, training, supervision, inspections, and required disclosures. Availability of a JustList category or approval of a listing is not legal advice and does not establish compliance.
Credential information must identify the issuing authority, exact legal holder and any DBA, number when publication is lawful or required, license type or classification, authorized scope and value limits, jurisdiction, status, expiration, and material restrictions. The Provider authorizes JustList to compare this information with authoritative records. The Provider must stop advertising and offering affected work and update JustList promptly if a credential expires, lapses, is suspended, is restricted, changes holder, or no longer covers the advertised service or service area.
4. Personnel and subcontractors
The Provider is responsible for everyone it sends to a Customer, including owners, employees, helpers, contractors, and subcontractors. The Provider must lawfully select, classify, train, supervise, and pay those persons and must complete any legally required background, immigration, occupational-safety, payroll, tax, or insurance process.
Before the Customer agrees, the Provider must disclose material subcontracting or referral to another business. The Provider may not substitute a materially different person or business where law or the Customer agreement requires consent.
5. Listings, quotes, and representations
- Describe only services the Provider is ready, qualified, and legally permitted to perform.
- Use accurate prices or label them as estimates, starting prices, hourly rates, unit rates, or custom quotes.
- Disclose material minimums, travel charges, deposits, taxes, recurring charges, cancellation terms, exclusions, and conditions before agreement.
- Do not make unsubstantiated claims about safety, results, timing, ranking, licensing, insurance, bonding, screening, or certification.
- Do not state or imply that JustList recommends, employs, supervises, insures, certifies, warrants, or guarantees the Provider or its work.
6. Direct agreement with the Customer
The Provider, not JustList, makes the service agreement with the Customer. The Provider must supply any estimate, written contract, cancellation notice, receipt, warranty, change order, lien notice, or other document required for the service and location. The agreement should identify the parties, scope, exclusions, materials, permits, schedule, price, deposit, milestones, change process, cleanup, cancellation, warranties, and dispute procedure.
JustList does not become a party by displaying a listing, enabling a message or contact reveal, showing a badge or review, or selling a subscription or sponsored placement.
7. Performance and responsibility
The Provider is solely responsible for workmanship, safety, jobsite conduct, code compliance, materials, tools, supervision, delays, nonperformance, cleanup, property damage, bodily injury, death, payment, refunds, rework, chargebacks, and warranties arising from Provider services. The Provider must address Customer complaints in good faith and comply with the direct agreement and applicable law.
A safety or policy report to JustList does not transfer the dispute to JustList. JustList may moderate the account or preserve records but does not determine workmanship, order payment or rework, or provide insurance or a property-damage guarantee.
8. Payment, taxes, and records
The Provider and Customer choose and manage payment for Provider work outside JustList. The Provider is responsible for payment security, receipts, refunds, income reporting, sales and use tax, payroll tax, and other tax obligations arising from its work. Stripe checkout on JustList pays only for JustList Paid Features.
The Provider must keep records required by law and records reasonably necessary to substantiate listings, credentials, Customer authorization, work, payments, warranties, and disputes.
9. Customer information and communications
Use Customer information only to respond to the requested service, perform an agreed project, maintain legally required records, or for another purpose the Customer separately authorizes. Do not sell contact information, build unrelated marketing lists, perform unauthorized background checks, send spam, or disclose a Customer's address, project, messages, or identity.
A contact reveal or service inquiry is not consent to automated calls, marketing texts, or unrelated advertising. The Provider is responsible for communications-law compliance and any legally required consent.
10. Reviews and Platform integrity
The Provider must not buy, fabricate, trade, gate, suppress, or condition a benefit on review sentiment. Do not review yourself, arrange insider reviews without a clear material-connection disclosure, threaten groundless legal action, or retaliate against honest criticism. A Paid Feature does not buy favorable reviews, rank, editorial treatment, or immunity from moderation.
11. Monitoring and enforcement
JustList may request information, review a credential, label a profile, limit distribution, reject or remove a listing, restrict contact tools, suspend Paid Features, or close an account. We are not required to pre-screen or continuously monitor every Provider, worker, credential, message, or service. An enforcement decision does not make JustList responsible for the Provider's conduct.
12. Provider certification
Each time the Provider publishes or renews a listing, the Provider certifies that:
- the Provider information and listing are accurate and not misleading;
- the Provider and assigned personnel are legally permitted and practically qualified to perform the service;
- all required credentials and insurance are active, belong to the displayed Provider or legally responsible business, and cover the advertised classification, scope, value, personnel, and location;
- the Provider will contract and accept payment directly from the Customer;
- the Provider will comply with the Terms, Service Listing Rules, Community Guidelines, Reviews Policy, and applicable law; and
- the Provider understands that JustList does not guarantee leads, bookings, revenue, payment, performance, or Customer satisfaction.
13. Indemnity, priority, and contact
The indemnity, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute provisions, and marketplace allocation in the Terms of Service apply to this Provider Agreement. If this Provider Agreement conflicts with the Terms, the provision that more specifically addresses Provider conduct controls, except that the Terms control arbitration, class waiver, and JustList's liability.
