JustList Reviews and Content Policy

This Policy applies to reviews, ratings, Provider responses, profile content, listings, photographs, video, and other user contributions. It supplements the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

1. Honest, first-hand experience

1. A review must reflect the author's genuine, first-hand experience with the Provider or a direct attempt to obtain the listed service.
2. A review must be factually grounded, relevant to the interaction, and written by the person whose experience it describes.
3. Do not fabricate completion, payment, injury, credentials, communications, or results.
4. Do not use a bot, generative-AI system, template farm, or another automated service to invent, substantially write, or mass-produce a review. Accessibility, spelling, or translation assistance is permitted only when the resulting review still expresses the reviewer's own genuine experience and meaning.
5. Positive and negative opinions are allowed. A negative rating is not itself a policy violation.

2. Eligibility and labels

JustList may require a qualifying Platform interaction before a user can review. An interaction label means only that the listed Platform event occurred, such as a conversation or contact exchange. It does not prove that work was booked, performed, paid for, or satisfactory.

We may label a review, Provider response, imported item, incentive, material relationship, edit, or verification status to help readers understand context.

3. Conflicts of interest

1. Do not review yourself or a business you own, manage, work for, or materially benefit from.
2. Do not review a close relative, household member, or business partner without clear disclosure and permission from JustList.
3. Do not review a direct competitor to manipulate reputation or ranking.
4. Employees, contractors, sales representatives, agencies, and resellers acting for JustList may not influence Provider reviews or use nonpublic information for review activity.

4. Incentives and review manipulation

1. Do not buy, sell, trade, or generate fake reviews or ratings.
2. Do not offer money, discounts, refunds, free services, contest entries, or other benefits conditioned on a positive or negative review.
3. If JustList expressly permits an incentive for an honest review, the incentive may not depend on sentiment and must be clearly disclosed with the review.
4. Do not ask only users expected to be positive, discourage negative reviewers, route unhappy users away from the review process, or condition support on changing a review.
5. Do not threaten, harass, sue, or retaliate merely to suppress a lawful honest review. Nothing prevents a person from addressing fraud, defamation, threats, privacy violations, or other unlawful content through appropriate channels.

5. Relevance and prohibited content

Content must remain relevant to the Provider, listing, Platform feature, or service interaction. We may remove or restrict content containing:

1. threats, harassment, hate, sexual content, exploitation, or graphic violence;
2. private or sensitive information, including an exact home address, personal phone or email, payment information, government identifier, medical details, or information about a minor;
3. spam, unrelated promotion, links intended to manipulate traffic, keyword stuffing, or repeated content;
4. content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or another right;
5. claims that are demonstrably false or content submitted through fraud or impersonation; or
6. media captured or published without consent where consent is legally required.

6. Provider responses

A Provider may post one relevant, civil response. Responses may explain facts, identify a resolution, or respectfully disagree. They may not disclose private information, attack the reviewer, offer an undisclosed incentive, threaten retaliation, or advertise unrelated services.

7. Moderation and publication

We apply the same written standards to positive and negative reviews. We may use automated signals and human review to detect fraud, abuse, conflicts, and policy violations. We may delay, label, limit, remove, restore, or decline content and may adjust aggregate ratings when content is ineligible or removed.

We do not edit a review to change its meaning. We may make non-substantive formatting changes, obscure personal information, or invite the author to revise content. We do not remove a review merely because a Provider paid JustList, disputes the opinion, or threatens to cancel advertising.

8. Ranking and paid relationships

Paid promotion is clearly labeled and is separate from review moderation. Payment does not buy a favorable review, rating, response, badge, or editorial decision. Aggregate ratings may use minimum-count, recency, reliability, or anti-fraud methods disclosed in product help material.

9. Reports and appeals

Use the report control and identify the specific rule you believe was violated. Do not submit reports merely because you dislike an opinion. We may request records of the interaction but discourage sending sensitive documents unless requested through a secure method.

An author or Provider may appeal an eligible decision at [email protected]. We may preserve disputed content and related records for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and defense of claims even when the content is no longer public.

10. Third-party reviews

If JustList displays a review from another service, we will identify the source and follow applicable permission and attribution requirements. Unless clearly stated, a third-party review is not verified by JustList. Source removal, correction, or access limits may cause imported content to disappear.

Providers may not choose only favorable imported reviews or suppress recent unfavorable reviews. If JustList offers an automated import, the selection method must be neutral and disclosed—for example, a fixed number of the most recent eligible reviews regardless of rating. Imported content must retain source attribution, available date and rating context, and a correction or removal path consistent with source permissions.
